Nepal Open University was established by the Parliament Act of Nepal in 2073, Act No.3. This University provides higher as well as tertiary education to a mass of people over online distance learning mode to produce a youth workforce who can work in a competitive market both national and global from their professional education programs. The Chancellor of Mid-Western University is the honorable Minister of Education Science and Technology Mr. Devendra Paudel. The Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Open University is Dr. Shilu Manandhar and Registrar is Dr. Govinda Singh Bista. Under the cooptation of different policies of this University, it has appointed the Faculty of teachers under the Faculty of Management and Law, Faculty of Science Health and Technology, and Faculty of Social Science and Education. Nepal Open University can be found in Man Bhawan, Lalitpur.
